At Alice Park Nursery we take babies from a year and all children until they start school at four or five. With such a wide range of abilities to cater for, we’re split into three main rooms: Babies, Toddlers and The Big Ones. In a fourth room everyone plays together, so all the children get to know each other really well and soon become part of the bigger ‘family’.
Needless to say, in each room we make sure we provide a stimulating environment where children learn as they play, often without realising it. Naturally we follow the four principles of The Early Years Foundation Stage.
Basically, we help our children to grow into happy, confident, caring, sharing individuals who are raring to go to school by the time they leave.
In a nutshell:
at Alice Park we care for children from 1 - 5 years for a minimum of 3 days a week but we don't offer 1 or 2 days a week or half-days (though at our other nurseries we take children from 0 - 5 years and offer sessional and part-time places as well as full-time)
- we're open from 8am until 6pm on weekdays, closing only for a week at Easter and Christmas plus bank holidays
- we have lovely big rooms and a garden where the children play, grow organic vegetables and care for small animals
- all food, drinks (and nappies if needed) are included in the daily/weekly price
- we can accommodate special needs
